Nice was Nice

I know I say this probably every weekend, but this time I seriously think I’ve found one of my new favorite places. After a few days exploring London and then a few nights discovering Paris, my family and I left to spend the last few days of our trip exploring the French Rivera.

The French Rivera is made up of several different towns, including Nice, Èze, Monaco, Cannes, and many more. I wish we had time to explore them all! My family and I stayed in the beautiful area of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. This whole part of the country reminded me a lot of Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy, which are two islands that my family has visited a few times over the years. We all immediately fell in love!

We were pretty tired from our week of non-stop exploring and walking around cities. I loved that for the last few days together we had a chance to relax, sit by the pool, and enjoy a quieter area of France.

While we were there, we visited Nice, Monaco, and Old Town. All of which were very different but all equally beautiful areas. We were constantly surrounded by colorful buildings, the shimmering ocean, and greenery.

When we weren’t relaxing, we were able to immerse ourselves even more into the culinary culture of France. One morning, we met with a local chef who took us to a food market and gave us a lesson where we made our own fresh lunch. Another morning, we met with a world famous pastry chef who taught us how to make eclairs! But I’ll save that for another post.

I cannot wait to return with my family and explore even more of the French Rivera, because there was so much to see and we didn’t have nearly enough time.
